The Russian investment group Finstar has acquired a share in the international fashion and lifestyle television channel Fashion TV.
“Fashion TV is a strong brand in the world of fashion, which has significant potential in the entertainment market and a good platform for developing new areas in the media and internet technologies,” Finstar’s president and co-owner Oleg Boiko said in a statement.
Michel Adam Lisowski, Fashion TV’s founder and president, added that he is glad to acquire a new partner who has similar views on the development of the sector in which Fashion TV operates.
According to Boyko, he plans to create an investment group, focused on media, film and entertainment projects. He said he wouldn’t give additional details of his plan for the new investment group at this stage. Similarly, the size of the share of Fashion TV that Finstar acquired, and its value, have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1997 by Poland-born Lisowski, Fashion TV is the world’s only round-the-clock television channel focused exclusively on fashion and style. It is available via satellite and cable in 192 countries.
Boyko is also known as a film producer. He is involved in Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut Summer`s Crossing and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez.
