Finstar Financial Group, the private equity firm founded by Russian billionaire Oleg Boyko, has acquired a majority stake in Prestamos Prima, a Spanish non-bank lender.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Prestamos Prima offers consumer, car and mortgage loans. One of its companies, Viventor, is a peer-to-peer lending platform that facilitates the trading of high-yield consumer loans in a secondary market.
Finstar has its own consumer lending company, Digital Finance International.
