On June 18, 2020, was held the 9th annual Forbes 400 summit on philanthropy, which brought together more than 200 philanthropic persons from all over the world. But it was the first time the meeting was held online. During the conversation, ideas were presented on how to act more efficiently and in a timely manner under the prevailing conditions around the world.
The themes of this year’s summit were Equity in opportunity and Equity in Healthcare to level the playing field and ensure everyone has access to essential care, education, economic opportunity and more. During the conversation, various ideas for innovative ways of education, access to capital and systems that ensure equal treatment in accordance with the law were proposed. The Summit is dedicated exclusively to dialogue and the formation of new thinking on key social issues.
Oleg Boyko, an international investor and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Finstar Financial Group, also took part in the Forbes 400 summit. He was among the 200 of the world’s leading philanthropists, social entrepreneurs and public officials, which were chosen for taking part in the conversation.
In 2006 Oleg Boyko founded the Parasport Foundation, which helps Paralympic athletes. It serves as a long-term source of financial assistance in physical rehabilitation, social adaptation for athletes and people with physical and sensory impairments, and promotes equal opportunities for all members of communities. Oleg Boyko also leads the Russian Paralympic Movement Development Commission under the Russian Paralympic Committee.
During the pandemic and economic crisis, philanthropist Oleg Boyko takes special care and support for the Paralympic people. With the support of the Parasport Foundation, athletes and coaches of the Russian Paralympic national teams across the country received medical masks and gloves. More than 2 thousand athletes representing 28 sports from more than 35 regions of Russia received targeted assistance.
