FinTech funding experienced a significant drop this week, with just $673m raised across 15 FinTech deals.
This marked a significant decline from last week, which saw over $2bn raised across 27 deals.
There was only one deal to exceed $100m this week, with CyberTech company Zenity securing $125m for its Series C. The company, which received capital from Norwest, Qumra Capital, SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and others, will use the capital to bolster its global expansion and product development.
It is worth noting that Moss secured an undisclosed amount of capital, but the deal helped the FinTech earn unicorn status with its valuation exceeding $1bn. The all-in-one spend management platform secured capital from Portage and Cherry Ventures.
